Chapter 19

Anjili and Ishara were all set for the wedding it was a week they spent in Goa the hotel they were staying in had suggested that they hold the ceremony at their beach. SO the wedding was a proper beach wedding, invations were sent out to all the people and the wedding was on a fine saturday morning, in the night there would be a reception and a party and the next day Arnav and Khushi would leave for their honeymoon to Hawaii. Khushi had never been to Hawaii and Arnav had told her that there was a spaa there that did good massages. Khushi just wanted to go some place where she was stress free. She wanted to go to a place where there was only her and Arnav and their love. They needed that, just to be alone with each other. After the whole stress of her parents leaving her and Kartic humiliating, she deserved the break.

Arnav got the divorced papers signed and finally Kartic and she were no longer tied to one another. Anjili had bought Khushi an expensive designer wedding outfit, It was beautiful pink and red outfit with beads all over. There was alot of hustle bustle the guests had started to arrive in and Arnav started to introduce Khushi to every one, She was happy to meet everyone and seemed to get along well. Nani came in too she, Khushi was scared that she may disapprove but she didnt. She said that she could see happiness reflecting in Arnav's eyes and thats all she wanted. Things were going smooth as ever.

Today was the mehindi night Khushi had mehindi all over both her hands. It was beautiful on the side she had Arnav's name engraved in it. Every one was teasing her with Arnav and she was blushing and blushing away.

Ishaara: So now I guess I can call u bhabhi (she smiled)

Khsuhi: (Khushi blushed) Yeah I guess you can... But you know Ishaara i would like it if u called me Di too, I will always take you to be my younger sister.

Ishaara hugged Khushi and smiled and thanked her and then Anjili said

Anjili: Well isnt my chottey lucky, he has you, really khushi I have a good feeling about your future life with him.

Khushi: Thank you so much Di (she hugged her) I am glad and thankful to Devi Maya that she sent Arnavji for me, I really love him

Ishaara: Yeah we know we can see it in your eyes, and also your cheeks turn red when we mention his name (she giggled)

And then again Khsuhi's face turned scarlet. Anjlili and the other girls laughed and laughed.

The mehendi went off smoothly she was so happy, Khushi could almost feel the stars with all the happiness and love that fluttered around her. It felt like she had the world. Devi Maya had indeed blessed her with all the happiness. Some part of her was still sad that her parents didn't agree to her decision, but she knew her heart of hearts that what she was doing was the right thing. She was taking a stand for herself and it was for the betterment of her life and she knew that Arnav was made for her. She was certain that this was all her Maya's plan to get her to this, it was all a test and a learning lesson. Love never comes easy, She got up from her seat to go outside she wanted a few moments to herself to feel the fresh air on her face and the wind in her hair. The happiness in her life, so with out telling anyone she left for outside, she knew that they were to busy dancing and celebrating the men were up stairs playing cards and drinking. They werent allowed down not that they didnt try they did but Anjili shooed them off.

As she reached out she saw the majestic dark blue sky filled with stars. It was a lovely night the waves curled across the soft sand. She had the most radiant smile on her face. The wind blew in giving her a rush of feelings. She was thanking the gods for what they gave her and when she was done she was about to go in when suddenly her path was blocked with the devil.

It was Kartick he had an evil grin on his face. The grin widened and Khushi looked at him with confusion as to what he wanted now from her.

Kartick: Hello Khushi

Khushi: (angry) what do you want

Kartick: You didnt think I would let you off easily did you.

Khushi: (confused) What do you mean

Kartic held her hand and dragged her and the back, she struggled trying to let go, he didnt let her. Khushi was shouting and shouting away and thats when he said

Kartic: Screaming wont get you anywhere the music is too loud they cant hear you they are busy going drunk and dancing

Khushi: (angry) let go off me, If Arnav finds out he will kill you

Kartic: You mean if he finds out

Khushi: He will (she said with a rude tone)

Kartic: Khushi after what happens today he what no other man will accept you. (he threw her down)

Khushi hurt her elbow as she fell across the grey rocky surface. But still she didnt look week she looked into his eyes and then said with all her courage

Khushi: Arnav is going to kill you. He wont let even a scratch come on me. You will pay for this

Kartic: (gave a hollow laugh and said) Huh you think he loves you. He doesnt love you, nobody can ever love you. Your a middle class filth thats what you are. He is only with you because he knows he can take advantage of you innocences Khushi he will use you and throw you just like I did

Khushi: (got up from the floor and slapped him hard across his face) How dare you talk such rubbish My Arnavji is not like that, Not every one is like you. Arnav will do no such thing, If you think I will fall into your trap then your wrong (she shouted to defend the man she loved)

Kartic: FIne suit yourself believe what you have to, it doesnt matter to me, I am still not going to let you go so easily. You will pay for insulting me like this. No one gets off easily like this.

He pressed her to the wall. She moved her face struggling to get him off. He tried to launch himself on her she pushed him off with all her might and he fell. She tried to run but he pulled her back pinning her back to the wall he said

Kartick: YOu wont get away Khushi

She shut her eyes tight clenching her fists crying away. He tried to launch his lips on her creamy skin but as he was about to touch her soft surface he was pulled back by the collar and within a spur of a moment he felt a hard punch on his face and he fell back on the floor. Khushi opened her eyes and looked around and she was on in relief to see Arnav standing right there and Kartic on the floor.

She didnt waste a second she ran behind him holding him with all her strength, he knew she was scared and clutched her as well. Kartic got up once more and tried to drag khushi out of Arnav's arms she was a rope of Tug of war between the two one pulling her from one end and the other from the other side. She was in pain, unable to see that Arnav in one swift moment held her and swept her to his side and she hid behind him. Kartic was in shock.

Arnav held Kartic by the collar and yelled in his true ASR tone

Arnav: How dare you (his voice thundered)

Kartick struggled to get out of his hold. Arnav left him and then began punching him left right and center, Kartic fought back, but was no match for Arnav who had unleashed his inner beast. Kartic was black and blue all over.

Kartick: By hitting me it wont change the fact, Your going to do exactly what I did to Khushi ASR (he smiled, taunting him) Use and throw her, she is not some one to love her class, she doesnt deserve it she is just an object of desire. once the desire is over the object can be discarded (he said taunting)

Arnav punched him once more, his temper rose to the fullest he kept hitting Kartick, when Khushi came and held his hand. Kartick smiled back at Arnav and Khushi with bleeding teeth. No shame on his face he looked straight at them and then Khushi said

Khushi: let him Go

Arnav: (Shocked) What, Khushi he is talking rubbish how can I let him go

Khushi: He is not worth it, why are you wasting you energy on him (she explained)

Arnav: (angry) I can not stand him talking about you like this, I will kill him (he was about to hit him when she held his hand)

Khushi: Arnavji Stop it, dont you see this is what he wants, he wants to see us hurt and angry he wants to see us break and crumble. (she said) look at him look at that smug smile on his  face. he is enjoying this he wants to see you fight. He wants to make me feel as if I am a no body and by fighting him we are proving him right. I dont care what he says and what he doesnt. I care what you think of me. I know you love me and I love you. That is the truth and we will not let any Kartic or anybody come in between our relationship. Our love is pure and strong and I trust you with all my heart and sole.

She held on to Arnav and hugged him tightly, Arnav looked once more and him and then shut his eyes and took a deep breath and then said.

Arnav: forget it lets get out of here, Your right we are beyond this filth.

Kartick lay there on the floor hurt and swollen with yet another plan of his failed. there is one thing he realized today and that is that Khushi knew him way to well. She was aware of all his moves and it seemed like penetrating through Arnav and Khushi's relationship was impossible accepting defeat he had no choice but to let go.
