Chapter 8

Khushi and Arnav had already left for the meeting with Rohit. Thye met at the palm beach hotel at North Goa. The car ride was silent and no one spoke a word. Khushi was fiddling with the ends of her dress as she was really nervous what was going to happen it had now slowly hit her what was happening. She just didn't want her fathers name to go tarnished she didn't want to have him insulted and if Kartic divorced her that was what will happen. But if she stayed with him then she would be miserable She had no idea what to do and what not to. She was in deep thought when Arnav noticed her tension. He was driving but he slowly shifted his hand from the gear and placed it on hers stoping her from fiddling with her dress. She looked up at him in confusion and  he looked at her lovingly and then said.

Arnav: Dont worry what ever the outcome i am here with you

Khushi: (smiled at him sweetly and then said) I know but still I am a bit scared.

Arnav: Dont be you di nothing wrong

Khushi: (smiled back) Thank you

Arnav: (rolled his eyes and said cutely) You have to stop saying Thank you. I dont like it

Khushi: (chuckled he looked cute) Oh Arnavji your so funny. (she paused and looked at him and then said) I wonder why people find you so khadoos you are such a sweet heart (she said playfully with out thinking)

Arnav: (jammed the brakes and looked at her and smirked with raised eye brows) Sweet heart

Khushi: (realized and blushed she hesitated and then said) Uh sorry it just came out and i didn't realize (she blushed a bit more and then asked softly) But why does every one call you khadoos

Arnav: Well normally i am like that only i dont talk much or say much i am suppose to be a ruthless tycoon (he smirked)

Khushi: But with me your not like that why how come (she asked him softly)

Arnav: (hesitated and then said) I dont know i just dont know there is something about you (he said softly)

Khushi: (raised his eye brows blushing and smiling) And why am i so special

Arnav: (caressed her face and she shut her eyes and he smirked) Because..... I....

Khushi: (looking into his eyes deep her heart beating) Because you

Arnav: (heart beating) I...

He was about to complete his sentance when he heard his phone ring. They both came out of the trance and looked at each other all lost and confused and then Khushi said softly

Khushi : Your phone

Arnav nodded and picked up it was Rohit. He told Rohit they were reaching in 5 minutes, He began driving the rest of the ride was quite they reached the hotel. Rohit greeted them in they sat Arnav ordered for some food and then Rohit said

Rohit: ASR what is it that you want to know

Arnav: Actually not me its Khushi who wants to know about Kartic

Rohit: (confused) Khushi Why what is Kartic to you

Khushi: (looked down upset and said) I am that unlucky wife of his

Rohit: What ?? (he said shocked) No way you can't be that girl that girl is middle class and ugly that what Kartic says and you your one good looking girl  even if you wear Indian clothes i dont think you would look ugly (he said shocked)

Khushi: (shocked) Uhm thanks for the compliment but Kartic doesn't think that

Arnav: (looking at Khushi he said) That guy is an idiot your nothing like what he says

Rohit: Yeah you aren't in fact i am shocked he let go of a girl like you. Kartic is an idiot

Khushi: I dont care about him any more i just want to know what he is going to do for the future

Rohit: Well he is looking out for a girl and he claims he will divorce you once he finds some one. Infact he has already found some girl. Her name is Easha she from USA. (he paused and then said) I dont know if this is any use to you of not but after he saw you at my party with ASR he was shocked he couldn't even stand straight it was like some one hit him hard on the head

Arnav: Well i am glad he got that feeling I was ready to kill him when i found out who he was (he said angrily) In fact i want to ruin him completely

Khushi: (looked at Arnav and said) No dont, Dont do that

Arnav: (angry) And why not (he raised his eye brows)

Khushi: Arnavji as much as I hate Kartic and want to ruin him i feel bad for his family. His family was good to me and i dont want to hurt them. They are good people

Arnav: What the !! How can you be like this Khsuhi. (he asked shocked)

Khushi: (smiled back) Because i am. Arnavji the only thing i want to do is get my family out of this mess I dont want my father to be shamed in front of every one (she said softly)

Arnav: (took her hand in his and said to her) Dont worry i wont let that happen

Rohit: i wish both of you best of luck and hope that you are successful (he then turned to Khushi and said) Khushi if you need my help i am there for you (he assured her) just shout out and i will be there

Khushi: (smiled) thank you Rohit thanks alot

Rohit: Its my pleasure (then he turned to Arnav and said) ASR you have helped me a lot  in my time of need and I am will always be loyal to the you and company

Arnav nodded, He and Khushi left from there to go back to the hotel .He told her that his sister is coming and he would like for them to meet, Khushi was more than happy to meet her. Also Arnav thought this would be a change for her after this news. He needed her to think straight with a fresh mind so that she could take a good decision with her life.
